70 Year Anniversary
Porsche
We designed a visual experience that celebrated and explored the heritage of the Porsche Brand in Australia through multiple touch-points at the Porsche Australia 70 Year Anniversary Gala event.
In 1951, the first Porsche arrived in Australia. Seventy years later, a spectacular gala event marked 70 years for Porsche in Australia. We helped create a consistent and clean visual language that celebrated Porsche Australia’s heritage and visually enriched the entertainment on a very special night.

In 1951, the first Porsche arrived in Australia. Seventy years later, a spectacular gala event marked 70 years for Porsche in Australia. We helped create a consistent and clean visual language that celebrated Porsche Australia’s heritage and visually enriched the entertainment on a very special night.
We created screen content that interacted with MCs, guests and performers on stage. The content created for the stage design included; static and looping animated backgrounds, beauty reels of Porsche Australia milestones, inspirational films and background visuals for memorable live entertainment moments. This content was displayed on three screens spanning over 25 meters wide – a breathtaking experience for over 450 attending guests.
We created a loop-able film to introduce the design language and hero the primary visual device, the ’70’ logo. This 3D film takes place in an abstract void of greyscale materials and forms that establish a baseline neutral design aesthetic on which the rest of the night’s content builds upon.
The entertainment moments of the night celebrated the passage of time as music, choreography, costume and screen content evolved to reflect the style and aesthetics of each era that Porsche Australia has proudly existed. The live, on-stage entertainment involved syncopated interaction between the content and the performers. We collaborated with the choreographers, lighting technicians and costume designers. To bring these entertainment moments to life – ensuring synergy between all moving parts.
We created virtual stages that acted as an extension of the physical stage. These 3D virtual stages were with realistic lighting that appropriated the aesthetics of each era. For example – as Aretha Franklin’s Respect (1967) plays, the stage transforms into a mid-century big band jazz club with incandescent lights that flash in time with the crescendos of this song (pictured). As One More Time by Daft Punk plays, the stage transforms into an electric sci-fi utopia with lasers interacting in sync with the track’s rhythm. The motion design of these films complemented the performances of the dancers and singers on stage.
The brands heritage was commemorated in the print artwork displayed throughout the night. Menus featured typographic references to Porsche cars dating back to the 1950s, and table number cards referenced the livery on the side of vintage motorsport cars.
We created large scale plinths that sat behind Porsche cars from the 1950s to the modern age – detailing the significance of each era through a constant design language.
Created in collaboration with Porsche Australia and Team Event.
