Sydney’s new home of waterfront mexican and good times.

Tequila Daisy is a modern Mexican restaurant in Sydney. Inspired by the colourful flavours of Mexico, coupled with their signature fresh and light style, Tequila Daisy’s interpretation of this incredibly diverse cuisine is designed to suit a range of tastes and experiences. Customers can keep it quick with a beer and tacos in the bar, or settle in with a set menu and mouth-watering Margies. The name’s origin derives from speculation that the Tequila Daisy cocktail is the precursor to the Margarita. The word ‘Margarita’ translates to ‘Daisy’ in Spanish, forming the inspiration behind the name.

We designed a playful brand identity inspired by their modern take on Mexican cuisine. A fluid and flexible typography system where letters stretch from wide to narrow is inspired by traditional handpainted signage. A suite of bespoke Mexican inspired graphics including daises and inverted punctuation marks were carefully designed to add colour and personality, showcasing the diversity of Mexican cuisine.

A modular menu design utilising techniques such as off-centre folding and layering resulted in a beautiful presentation whilst allowing easy customisation to an ever-evolving seasonal menu. Allowing individual pages and elements to be easily added or replaced aligned with the restaurant’s innovative waste minimisation, collection and recycling processes.
